Invest in your future – learn about technology and leadership!

I am passionate about #learning, #technology, #innovation and #leadership, both as an individual, as an engaged board member, corporate advisor and startup coach. And as the Chair at Digoshen, where Katy Caroan is CEO, we inspire executives and boards to move forward and take leadership in the #digital age. So let me share some inspiration.

This week (December 4-10, 2017) is Computer Science Education Week. Or in grown up language… do a digital innovative experiment!

There is a great opportunity to try a one hour tutorial designed for all ages in 45 languages. You can all join millions of students (and teachers) in over 180 countries starting with an Hour of Code. #HourofCode

Do it for yourself, do it with friends or colleagues, do it with your children or grandchildren!

Do some digital experiments this week!

Much coding is now also possible through much more high-level instructions, or even using easy configurations or templates.

You can listen to my very fast and easy lesson about Podcasts for free; What is it, how do I find them, what tools can help me organize my listening.

This lesson is created with the help of ed-TED. Did you know that you can also, very easy, create your own lessons using TED videos, or actually any video that you find or have online with the help of ed-TED? We did it with an executive team a while ago and they all created interesting valuable lessons in less than an hour!! Why don’t you go and test to create a lesson and do share with the rest of us?

This evening I will be joining a celebration at IVA. IVA is facilitating exchange between academia and business and promoting engineering and economic scienes and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of the society! The celebrations is to highlight that it is 100 years since the first female engineer Vera Sandberg graduated in Sweden! Vera graduated from Chalmers, where I also took my Master of Scince. Katarina Mellström is leading an effort at IVA to create more diversity in our future competence development.

This week we had the inaugural meeting in the competent advisory board, to the Master program in Business and Management at SSE, Stockholm School of Economics. It’s a progressive exciting master program on Innovation, Change, Business Creation and Development that has more than 50% international students from countries as US, Germany and other European and Asian countries. SSE is further strengthening Stockholm as an #innovative leading #startuphub creating the leaders needed in the future.

At Digoshen, where I am Chairman, we also advice leaders and organisations, to learn more about digital and how to lead with tools as social media and driving experiments.

To celebrate and help inspire leadership of the digital progress we are offering some of our digital online courses about leadership and social media at a discount this week.

Or if you are a Chair at a board in Sweden – sign up for the excellent Chairman program at Styrelseakademien led by Pia Gideon, were I also teach about future trends and strategy in the digital era.

If you work on #boards, you need to increase your understanding of the impact of digital progress on your business and how to adapt and #innovate. At Digoshen are currently researching best practices for boards in securing corporate renewal, together with KTH, University of Wolverhampton, IMIT and Vinnova.

Finally remember Mahatma Gandhis words ;

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever!
Invest in the future – spend some time this week to learn about digital and technology!
